What time is check-in/check-out?

Check-in at The Ambers Guesthouse is between 2pm and 7pm. Check-out is by 10am on weekdays and by 10.30am at the weekends. The Ambers Guesthouse can offer an earlier or later check-in time or a later check-out time by prior arrangement (at time of booking). Car collection after 7pm can also be arranged by prior arrangement.

Is late check-in available?

Late check in is available by prior arrangement. Please call or email The Ambers Guesthouse to arrange and we will happily accommodate your requirements.

Is wi-fi free?

Yes, free wi-fi is available at The Ambers Guesthouse so you can keep in touch with your loved ones, friends and business contacts. Instructions for use can be found in your in-room pack.

How far is it to Gatwick, London and other local attractions?

Gatwick Airport is an 8 minute drive from The Ambers Guesthouse. London is no less than 30 minutes by train. For other local attractions near The Ambers Guesthouse see here.

Yes, The Ambers Guesthouse is conveniently located for shopping and dining with many restaurants on your doorstep, plus a major 24-hour supermarket within a short walking distance and a Waitrose food store nearby.

Can I get my clothes ironed, washed or dry cleaned?

The Ambers Guesthouse is happy to loan irons and ironing boards free of charge so you can fix any little creases immediately after unpacking. There are numerous specialist dry cleaners and a launderette within a 8 minute walking distance of the guesthouse which provide a same day or 24 hour laundry/dry cleaning service.

Can I get a baby travel cot, travel adaptors and hairdryers?

Yes, The Ambers Guesthouse is pleased to loan travel adaptors and hair dryers to save room in your precious luggage space! Baby travel cots are also available by prior arrangement without charge. Umbrellas are also available to loan should you need one!
